About Founder

Jasmine is the founder of Lab Studios. Jasmine left the banking industry in 2014 to pursue her passion to teach and share yoga. A fearless and passionate leader, Jasmine founded Lab Studios in 2016 with the dream of making her favourite ways to move more accessible. She believes in creating and living a life she never has to escape from.

After bringing up 6 'studio babies', Jasmine is now embarking on a new journey of motherhood! She is expecting her first child and cannot wait to meet her baby boy come October 2020!

Why it's beneficial for moms to do pre and post natal barre and yoga

Prenatally, exercise helps to keep mummies strong both physically and mentally.
In pregnancy, the body experiences an accelerated pace of change and needs help adjusting and compensating. Prenatal yoga and barre practices are designed to support the changes that happen in a pregnant body. Classes offer women healthy, safe ways to stretch their muscles and strengthen their bodies – their lower bodies in particular – to ease the process of supporting a growing belly.

Post-natal exercises help restore muscle strength and firm up your body. Make you less tired because it raises your energy level and improves your sense of wellbeing. It also promotes weight loss and improves your cardiovascular fitness and restores muscle strength.
On top of that, exercise also improves your mood, relieves stress and helps prevent postpartum depression.
