A: On first use, twist the dial in a clockwise direction. The balm can be applied from all directions: Convex dome shape for first time application. Narrow side allows meticulous application of curved areas (e.g. lips, nose). Wide side allows quick application of flat areas (e.g. chin, cheeks).
