SOVA uses the highest grade (6A) long fiber mulberry silk, with a thickness of 22 momme to provide the ultimate combination of shine, thickness, softness and durability for all our products. We enforce the strictest quality guidelines, including the usage of non-toxic dyes to keep our products safe and nourishing for you.

NATURALLY HYPOALLERGENIC

Mulberry silk is naturally hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin or anyone suffering from allergies. The silk fibers are coated with sericin, a protein that repels dust mites - a major source of allergic irritation. Sericin also makes silk resistant to mold, fungus and bacteria.

CHEMICAL + IRRITANT FREE

Sova’s mulberry silk is processed using mainly water, steam and heat, instead of harsh and harmful chemicals. We use environmentally friendly dyes and all our silk products are Oeko-Tex® certified to be free of chemicals.

ANTI-AGING + ANTI-WRINKLE

Mulberry silk’s tightly-woven structure helps the skin retain its natural moisture. Mulberry silk also contains natural proteins and essential amino acids which can help speed up metabolism of skin cells, reducing signs of aging. Mulberry silk’s smooth fibers also reduce friction on delicate facial skin, minimising the occurrence of sleep wrinkles.

HEALTHY HAIR + REDUCE BED HEAD AND HAIR BREAKAGE

Mulberry silk nourishes hair cuticles and helps protect fragile regrowth. The gentleness and moisture-retaining properties of mulberry silk make its products an excellent choice for anyone who wants to keep their hair and scalp protected and moisturised around the clock. The smooth texture of mulberry silk also prevents the excessive friction that causes hair breakage and tangles.

TEMPERATURE BALANCING

Mulberry silk is breathable and is an all-climate fabric that has natural temperature-regulating properties, providing you the ability to stay warm and cosy in winter and comfortably cool in summer.

MACHINE WASHABLE

SOVA’s mulberry silk is machine washable in cold water on the most gentle cycle available. Wash in a separate, silk-only, load if possible. Protect the silk’s natural fibers by using a neutral or special detergent for silk to maintain the integrity of the fabric with every wash. Hang silk to dry, indoor or out, but avoid direct sunlight. Iron sparingly on the coolest setting.
